Weeks 8-9

First of all, to avoid confusion, our address is Avenida Manco Cápac 256, dep. 502, San Jerónimo, Cusco, Perú.

The two last weeks, not so many special things happened. One moment that should be mentioned, however, is Véronique’s birthday. Jasper first invited her to have breakfast in the centre of Cuzco and then brought her to the 4 stars hotel he had booked a beautiful room in (how amazing to be able to take a nice bath and a good shower!). In the afternoon, almost all the kids of Urpi Sonqocha gave her a drawing or a letter and, in the evening, Jasper took her to one of the nicest restaurants of the city. The next day, Véronique’s mum bought her tickets to go to a representation of the National Russian Ballet and, after that, a big box arrived from Belgium: a present from some friends, filled with delicious Belgian products. An unforgettable birthday!

 

 

 

 

 

Last week, we organised some new reading classes. This time, we used the book ‘Rugor, el dragón enamorado’ to organise a whole series of games and activities. As you can see on the pictures, we had a lot of fun.

 

 

 

Tomorrow, we start a new trip. We will first go to Lake Titicaca and then to Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia). Normally, we will be back on Saturday, but since we cannot book the tickets back to Cuzco yet, it could also be on Sunday. Anyway, you will definitely know it quickly: we will immediately post our new pictures on the blog!
